Getting started
How long does it take to register a first property?
A few minutes. Once you've created your account and activated your subscription, you enter the unit, the rent and, if you like, a few photos. The property is then ready to welcome a tenant and generate leases and receipts.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Locagex runs in your browser, on computer and phone alike. No installation needed.
Can I be both a landlord and a tenant?
Yes. One account can hold several profiles (landlord, tenant, technician) and switch between them without logging in again.
Rent & payments
Does Locagex collect my rent?
No. Locagex never holds your funds. The tenant pays the rent directly into your account; the tool is used to report the payment, issue the receipt and track due dates. No third party stands between the tenant and you.
How are receipts generated?
As soon as a payment is confirmed, the receipt is produced as a PDF and sent to the tenant automatically. It is kept in the property's file and in the tenant's account.
What happens if payment is late?
Rent notices and reminders are scheduled and go out at the right time. Arrears tracking (age, amounts, tenants concerned) stays visible in your accounting.
Leases & documents
Are the leases compliant?
Locagex generates structured leases adapted to the type of contract (residential, commercial, sale) and to the legal framework of the property's country. The documents remain a tool: it's up to you to check them against your situation.
Can I export my documents?
Yes. Leases, receipts, inspection reports, statements and accounting reports can be exported as PDF.
Subscription
Is it paid?
The tenant account is free. Management features are offered through a subscription, with plans listed on the Pricingpage. The amount may depend on the number of properties managed.
Do you take a commission on my rent?
No. Locagex works on a subscription basis, never as a percentage taken from your rent.
Data & security
Who owns my data?
You do. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Details are in our Privacy policy.
Can another landlord see my tenants?
No. Data is segregated by organisation: a landlord never has access to information held by another.
